Yes, the companies do have some academics criteria but it is just to ease the process of shortlisting. If you truly have some decent skills and enthusiasm then no company will say no to you. You just have to convince them and showcase your skills.
You can do this with the help of your Placement officer in your college or if you are applying through off-campus then try to make a connection with HR and showcase your portfolio.
When you write your resume, try to mention Job-related skills and add relevant internships which are really required for the particular job role. This will grab the attention of the HR on your projects and Internships rather than on your percentage criteria.
Quality Internships have higher weightage than Percentage, Specially for freshers
